First Week!

 First Week of School

Hi Families!

We love to include some voice directly from your students, their brilliant and clever anecdotes for the week are a good way to get them talking about what we did and why!
We will also include a teacher voice to make sure you are getting the full picture.
Thank you so much for those of you who were able to complete the Digital Citizenship agreement and the Parent Questionnaire. We very much enjoyed reading them. They were very heartfelt and some were very funny (you know who you are 😎).
If you have not yet completed them, please do!

Important dates:
September 11 - Terry Fox Fundraising begins
September 18 - Terry Fox Run 🏃

This week we worked quite a bit on community building. Many students are coming together for the first time and it was important to build some connections, communication skills and teamwork skills! This is something we will continue to focus on during Health for September and circle back to throughout the year.

We also spent some time discussing ourselves and who we are! Students created a silhouette of their heads filled with images that represented them. They also used watercolor paint to experiment and create a beautiful background for the mantra the chose that will help guide their mindset for the year.

Routines are also an important part of the first week including going to Phys-ed. Mr. Newton is back in action and the kids are jazzed! We love getting to watch them work on so many different skills in PE!

Thumbs up to a great week!
