Hi Families!
Please book conferences using this link: your parent MyCBE account at sis.cbe.ab.ca. Otherwise, you will be hearing from Mrs. Barnden or Ms. Sera because we want to see you! We love your kiddos and look forward to sharing what they have been working on and what has been going on in the classroom. 😀
We finished up Coordinate Geometry this week, working on our positional language UP, DOWN, RIGHT, DOWN! Students completed a summative Show What You Know assessment, plotting coordinates, identifying and recording coordinates, and identifying vertices of polygons on a coordinate grid.
We also had a wonderful time with our buddies today! Students played a get to know you game where they practiced subitizing with dice, taking turns and reading and answering different friendship prompts. Students then completed a reflection sharing what they had learned about their buddies.
In Social Studies, we are continuing with our unit on Geography and moving into Ancient Civilizations. Students did a really good job identifying provinces as well as continents! I was blown away!
We also started soccer in gym! Students were really excited about this.
