Expert Station and Literacy Stations
We had more students work up their courage and present their expert station presentations this week! We are really proud of the kids and how hard they are working on these. During literacy stations, we are also students are also working on building independence on completing literacy (reading and writing) tasks that are familiar and at their level. The teachers also pull smaller reading groups to work on specific reading skills at the students level!

Here is Lilly, Claire and Evie sharing their character trait recording sheets for their book!

Here is birthday boy Clinton, Kixton and Dan sharing their expert stations! I have learned more about Myths and Legends and Roblox this week than I have ever have before!

Math
In Math we finished up our work on stem and leaf plots by plotting data, correcting mis-plotted data and creating our own!

Art
During Art this week (everyone's fav) we practiced our skills with oil pastels, first shading and highlighting a candy cane. We then moved on to applying our shading and highlighting skills to creating a winter window scene. Both projects turned out beautiful with so much amazing variation and creativity. A definite highlight of the week:

During word work, we worked on prefixes and suffixes, both determining the meaning as well as building our vocabulary list.

Here is one of my favorite dream teams working on their 'un' prefixes and their spelling!

Have a wonderful weekend!
