March 20 – Daytime Student Involved Conferences (The booking system opened on March 3)
March 19 & 20 – Purdy's orders can be picked up at the Evening Student Involved Conferences on Thursday or the Daytime Student Involved Conferences on Friday

Writing
This week we began focusing on opinion writing and started planning our first persuasive piece. We are using a TIDE planner to organize our ideas. TIDE stands for - Topic, Idea, Details, and Ending. Students were given a choice of 3 topics to choose from for this first persuasive piece, ask your student what they will be writing about. As we become more proficient with persuasive writing, we will be combining what we have learned in science about different Energy Resources, to record a multi-paragraph persuasive writing piece to explain which energy resource we think would be the best and why!
