Health/Restart
We are in our second last week of Restart programming with Nate and Robin! This week the students discussed budgeting skills as well as financial literacy. We had a great discussion during an activity where students guessed if the average cost was higher or lower than the given number. Some surprises were had around the cost of living vs. minimum wage. We also discussed how do know that you are cared for? We started this last week on Friday during our sharing circle and each student had a thoughtful answer so we thought we would share some of them here (see below). The purpose of this activity is to help students understand what they need to feel safe in friendships and how it can sometimes differ from what their friends need to feel safe.
Phys-Ed!
We wrapped up floor hockey this week with lots of playing time! Students did a great job demonstrating sportsmanship, hand-eye coordination, and enthusiasm (and some dance moves too)
